(747) GONZAGA
(748) WASHINGTON STATE
Take "(747) GONZAGA"
Washington State is one of the best coached teams you'll ever see as Tony Bennett gets every ounce from his troops. They're also very well schooled in fundamentals and rarely give anything away. But this year's Cougars are just not all that talented and tonight is a spot where they are going to need a poor effort from the road team to come away with what would be an upset win. There's now way to expect that kind of showing for Gonzaga. They weren't especially sharp in a cakewalk Saturday against lowly Indiana, but the Bulldogs will be far more fired up for what they undoubtedly are counting as a very big game at Wazzou. This Gonzaga team is loaded, and could well be a Final Four entry this year. Man for man, Washington State simply cannot match up with them. I can't forecast a blowout, but with the number more than reasonable, I've got confidence that Gonzaga will bring home the cash with a solid win tonight.

(703) NEW YORK KNICKS
(704) NEW JERSEY NETS
Take "(703) NEW YORK KNICKS"
Ny Knicks played on Tuesday night at Chicago and lost a close battle with the Bulls, 105-100. The Knicks are 9-13 on the season and while they have just a 10-11 ATS record, they have covered the last three games. The Knicks have bombed away this year from three-point land. They average 30 per game and are hitting 37% of the long range jumpers. Now, consider this, the Nets are the worst team in the NBA at defending the 3-pointer, allowing over 40%. Al Harrington leads the Knicks in scoring (22.1 ppg) and Zach Randolph leads in rebounds (12.5 rpg). Harrington (6.9 3-pointers per game) and Jamal Crawford (7 3-pointers per game) lead the team from long range. In fact, Crawford is hitting 45.5% from three-point range this season. The Nets have not been good on the defensive end either, allowing an average of 105 points per game in their first 17 contests. The Nets have played better defense of late, with their best effort of the season coming in their win over Philadelphia. But, this is still the Nets and defense isn't exactly something that has been ingrained into this club. The Knicks long range shooting should keep them close in this contest. We'll take the nearly double digit line with New York.

5 Unit Winner Yesterday

NBA

Indiana vs. Toronto

It's hard to imagine Toronto being favored over anyone right now. But, 63% of the public is backing them and who knows, the Raptors could show some heart as they returned home. After all, in their last game at home (remember, they have new coaching as Sam Mitchell was fired recently) they lost by just 1 point to Portland and covered the 3 point spread. Hence, they could win today ending their five game skid. Indiana comes off a hard fought overtime loss to Boston and looks to bounce-back here. I'm not the ones to take public favorites usually but at some point Toronto needs to win big at home and this is a good spot as any for them. Toronto is 1-7-1 ATS of late, I do have a lean on the over here considering that Indiana will be an active dog and Toronto will want to put up points in part because of their lack of scoring at Cavs, in part b/c they need a blowout win and in part, the Pacers will put up their fair share of points. But, still is a rich line to take for an over. no thanks.

Knicks vs. Nets

Note, that Simmons for the Nets is questionable. The Knicks come off a tough loss to the Bulls on the road losing by 5. These two teams are no fan of each other, over 63% are backing teh Knicks here which is typically not good news for the public dog. NY has covered their last 3 including being a 10 point dog at Atlanta, defeating the Pistons outright at home (by the way, the Pistons are udner .500 with Iverson in the lineup as they are 8-9 for the year) and the Nets have covered 5 of their last 6. I actually lean on the Nets here as they are playing great basketball with Devin Harris, having said that, I don't want to lay 9 points to the Knicks who are coming off a loss.

Charlotte vs. New Orleans

Note, that Wallace is still listed as doubtful for this game as he did not play at Charlotte's loss at Miami. Note, that Charlotte did cover that game and Richardson played despite having a family loss. As per this game, New Orleans has a big revenge game against Charlotte today from an earlier season outright loss back in November. The Hornets come off big wins over Memphis and Phoenix and will look to blow out another team at home with revenge. Lean on the Hornets here despite the big spread as Charlotte is also playing a back to back while the Hornets are rested.

Memphis vs. Oklahoma City

Memphis is feeling the love by about 65% of the public after their big win over the Rockets at home. Memphis has won 6 games this year while OKC has only won 2. Of course, OKC is 12-10 ATS this year. But, did you know that this is a revenge game for Memphis? They lost to OKC back on November 29th as favorites of -7.5 points and now look to return the favor on the road. OKC comes off a SU loss and an ATS loss after covering 6 straight and despite Memphis being backed by most of the public, I lean on them with the revenge here.

Cleveland vs. Philadelphia

Note, that Brand will likely return for this game. Hence, the line has not come out yet. But, how good are the Cavs this year? This Clevleand team is the #1 ATS team in the league as they are 17-4 ATS and a dominant 12-0 at home. This team has one more win that the Lakers if I am not mistaken at 18-3 this year and has won 9 straight and comes off a big win over the Raptors. The Sixers come off a home loss to the Nets and look to bounce-back here, but either way, the Cavs are on fire right now and the only question is whether you bet on this team or not as they are once again, the best ATS team this year as they sit at 17-4 ATS.

Hawks vs. Spurs

I have a play on this game, to purchase, please click on the above link. thanks.

Twolves vs. Denver

The Twolves with their new coach in Mc is behind the bench and have you notifed each time there is a new coach the team with the new coach covers the first game? Take a look at the Twolves yesterday against the Jazz, OKC and the Wizards to name just a few. Well, if you want to take a leap of faith on this Twolves team you can. But, just be wary that although I usually love the points, Denver has been solid at home of late covering spreads as they have covered big against the Raptors, Rockets and Bulls. But, the Twolves do have revenge in this game from an earlier season's loss at home to Denver.

Milwaukee vs. Golden State

I have a play on this game, it is my POD,

Phoenix vs. Lakers

I have a play on this game,

Tuesday's Comp Selection (6-4 Comp Run)

Harvard +4.

Harvard has revenge from this contest last year when they were 11 point dogs and they lost by around a field goal in that game. This i a game that Harvard can win outright. After all, they are more mature from last year and healthier and they have a great player in Jeremy L. and will lean on him heavily per this game. I had this line sectioned off as Harverd as a 1 point dog to a pick-em so although it is not good enough for a play, it is still significant. Harvard will have its crowd behind it, will have revenge of course in this game and has shown some bite beating Holy Cross and others - basically the same team that Northeastern has. I just think the home court and having a crop of players that have revenge from last year, make the difference in this likely low scoring contest. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Brandon Lang Wednesday 10 Dime TCU - In places he don't talk about, Tom Crean is probably wishing he stayed at Marquette.

He came into Indiana and inherited a team that lost 2 starters to the first round of the NBA draft and dismissed two other starters Armon Bassett and Jamarcus Ellis because of rules violations.

He told 2 other players who played significant minutes DeAndre Thomas and Brandon McGee they weren't welcomed back and then stood back and watched as both Eli Holman and Jordan Crawford transferred out.

When the dust cleared, how about being left with one scholarship player and one walk-on for his first year at Indiana and boy has it already gotten ugly.

They have struggled to a 4-4 record with the 4 wins coming against the likes of Northwestern St, Cornell, Indiana-Purdue and in Hawaii over Chaminade by 2.

In their 4 losses they have been blown out by 28 to Notre Dame, 26 to St.Joes, 25 to Wake Forest and 16 to Gonzaga.

This is a team that will struggle all year long and making them a favorite of any price I feel is just to much to ask.

As far as TCU is concerned, new coach Jim Christian comes over from Kent State, where he led them to a pair of NCAA tourney trips in 2 of his last 3 years there. To put it bluntly, this man can flat out coach.

The Horned Frogs roll in 7-3 and winners of 6 in a row after a 3-game losing streak to Clemson, Charlotte and Nebraska. They are playing well and full of confidence.

I love this small forward he has in Kevin Langford and you also can't sleep on Zvonko Buljan underneath as well.

In following Christians teams at Kent State, they are always undervalued early in the year and I have made plenty of money on them because of their team defense and toughness.

From top to bottom I really feel TCU is the better team with more talent and riding a 6 game win streak, I feel they can handle the big time atmosphere of playing at Indiana with a coach who knows how to prepare his team for the road.

This line is begging you to get down on Indiana so I will look for the Horned Frogs to step up and deliver the win in this near pickem game tonight.
